Ever wondered why emu oil is the go-to product to treat a range of health and skin conditions for many Australians? In fact, it was a natural bush medicine used by the Australian Aborigines for thousands of years – they called it their ‘sacred oil’. Due to the high amounts of essential fatty acids in emu oil (Omega 3, 6 & 9), scientific research has shown that pure emu oil is naturally anti-inflammatory and has emollient properties.

Natural Immunity Boosters for Autumn

The temperature change in autumn means our immune systems are more likely to take a beating. Lower temperatures lead to more viruses lingering in the air, and allergies can irritate your lungs and nasal passages; leaving you more susceptible to cold and flus. It’s no wonder you hear more coughing and sneezing in cold weather.

Our immune system can do a great job of defending us against disease-causing microorganisms, but in autumn it can do with a boost of emu oil. Here’s why…

How does emu oil works to boost your immunity naturally?

Emu oil is a natural source of Omega 3, 6, 7 & 9 and is rich in Vitamins A, D, E, F & K2.

Research shows that the structure of emu oil can improve immune system functions. Furthermore, Vitamin A helps fight common conditions such as colds, cough and flu, and may alleviate allergy flare ups. The bacteriostatic composition of emu oil allows it to help fight off infection and stop the reproduction of bacteria, as well as treat antibiotic-resistant infections.

Taking emu oil daily can assist in the maintenance of general health and wellbeing, strengthening your immune system every day over time.

However, the quality of the emu oil plays a huge part in its effectiveness.
This is why you should only choose TGA-listed emu oil products…

What is a TGA listed product?

TGA stands for the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia. This means products with a TGA listing have been assessed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration under the Australian Department of Health for their quality and safety.

They can only be manufactured in a TGA licensed site to control the quality and safety of the final product. TGA requires emu oil companies to conduct a thorough analysis of every batch of emu oil it produces, to ensure consistent quality and bioavailability of Omega 3, 6 & 9, and Vitamins A, D, E & K.

Emu Spirit’s therapeutic range is listed on the ARTG (Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods), and we display an ‘AUST L’ number on our label as proof of listing. We are proud to be the world’s first fully Australian-made company to have our emu oil listed on the ARTG.
