Emu Spirit for Every Day Life

We understand how difficult it can be to prioritise your health, especially during the hustle and bustle of modern life. Fortunately, there are many ways you can improve your day-to-day health and well-being by incorporating Emu Spirit into your schedule.

Here are just a few…

Emu Spirit for Every Day Life

A Drop in your Daily Diet

For many, breakfast is a luxury often missed, and while we don’t recommend skipping too many of them, we understand that it’s a symptom of a busy life. But just because we don’t have time to eat doesn’t mean we should completely ignore an opportunity to improve our gut health and digestive system.

Taking one or two Emu Oil Omega 369 Capsules on the way out the door in the mornings is a great way to reduce general inflammation in the digestive track and improve overall health, and it only takes a second of your time.

And for those breakfast aficionados, a couple drops of 100% Pure Oil of Emu in your yoghurt or cereal will greatly improve your heath by adding Omega 3, 6 and 9 to your meal without jeopardizing the flavour.

Soothe Joints from Working from Home

For many, working from home became the silver lining of the Covid-19 pandemic. All at once, thousands of people across the country were able to show up to work in their pyjamas experiencing a form of liberation they’d previously only dreamed of. However, it didn’t take long to be made painfully clear to many that the couch isn’t exactly ergonomic.

Never fear! Office injuries such as general joint pain and repetitive strain injury (RSI) can be alleviated by applying emu oil to the sore area which will help reduce inflammation, stiffness and swelling, as well as help prevent scar tissue from developing within the joints.

Now you can cancel that trip to the physio and continue working in the comfort of your pyjamas.

Emu Spirit for Every Day Life

Massaging Muscles Post Workout

It’s unanimous amongst the experts. Daily exercise is just as important as a nutritional diet if you wish to stay in tip-top shape. Unfortunately, it’s quite normal to feel pain and soreness in your muscles after a tough workout. This has been coined “Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness” or “DOMS” by the professionals and it’s a result of small tearing in the muscle fibres.

Fortunately, due to emu oil’s deep penetrative and anti-inflammatory properties, massaging the sore areas of your muscles with 100% Pure Oil of Emu will accelerate the healing process and get you back in the gym before you know it.

Emu Spirit for Every Day Life hair care

Hair and Scalp Care

For many people, the daily routine of hair and scalp care is an unconscious one. Shampoo, condition, rinse and dry. But there is so much more that can be done to protect your scalp and ensure your hair stays silky and smooth, and it only takes a couple more seconds of your time.

Emu oil is a major source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 which have been scientifically found to increase hair elasticity, nourish the hair follicles, prevent hair loss, stimulate hair growth and moisturise and improve dry and flaky scalps.  Simply massage 2-3 drops of Emu Spirit 100% pure emu oil into your scalp once you step foot out of the shower before drying your hair.

It won’t be long before you look back at your old hair-care routine as incomplete.

Emu Spirit for Every Day Life pets

Pet Protection for Paw Pads, Coat and Joints

It’s not only human hair that benefits from emu oil. If your pet’s paw pads or coat is looking dull, brittle or flaky, it may be a good idea to apply a few drops to your hands and rub it into their coat thoroughly. Emu oil is 100% safe for pets (even if they lick it!) and can assist in treating a whole range of pet related problems such as healing skin irritation, reducing allergies and alleviating joint soreness. The best part is, you won’t have to worry about fighting your cuddly cat or pet pooch to accept Emu Oil as they generally love the smell.

Why You Should Use Emu Oil for Massage Therapy

Whether you suffer from rheumatism or osteoarthritis, a chronic sports injury or you’re prone to muscle pain; massage therapy can help to reduce pain and relieve tension. Scheduling a routine massage can help you to ease your muscle aches and manage joint pain, but did you know the type of oil you use in your session plays a part in how effective your massage will be?

Many massage therapy professionals choose to use pure emu oil in their practice. Why?

Here are 5 reasons you should switch to using emu oil for your next massage:

Why you should use emu oil for massage therapy

Emu oil has been used for hundreds of years as a natural anti-inflammatory medicine for treating burns and skin irritations by the Aborigines of Australia. Now, it has been recognised by health professionals across the world as one of the best massage oils because of its natural healing qualities of Vitamin A, E & Oleic Acid. Emu oil is often used topically for massage as it provides the added benefit of reducing inflammation and pain relief.

Why you should use emu oil for massage therapy

Apart from its analgesic qualities, emu oil not only helps with pain relief, it also acts quickly and effectively. This is because emu oil contains fat lipids similar to those found in the top layer of the dermis, allowing it to easily absorb into the skin and penetrate deeply into the layers of your skin’s surface. Emu oil is also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which means it has low skin irritation and doesn’t clog your pores; perfect for anyone with sensitive or highly inflamed skin. As more massage therapy professionals learn about emu oil, it’s popularity in the massage industry increasingly grows.

Why you should use emu oil for massage therapy

Not only is emu oil safe for all skin types, research suggests that applying emu oil to the skin may actually help to increase the number of healthy skin cells. Studies have found that emu oil stimulates the skin to rejuvenate aging or sun-damaged skin, and even reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Lastly, emu oil is a powerful moisturiser that penetrates deep into the skin and heals from within.

Why you should use emu oil for massage therapy

Because emu oil increases blood supply when applied to ailing areas, it can help increase circulation when used in a massage practice. This then helps to speed up your skin’s healing time for burns, wounds, and irritation. It’s an added bonus you didn’t know you needed for your massage therapy (heal your pain, and heal your skin… all in the same session!)

Why you should use emu oil for massage therapy

If you’re planning to practice massage therapy at home, emu oil may end up being more cost effective for your hip pocket. Another reason why massage therapists and other health professionals consider it one of the best natural healing oils is because it takes so little oil to cover the skin. Pure emu oil may cost a bit more, but you only need a small amount for an inflamed area. When it comes to caring for your health; a little truly goes a long way.

5 Fun Ways to Drink Emu Oil

How To Get Vitamin D During Winter in Australia

) Getting Vitamin D During Winter sun emu spirit emu oil

Did you know? The noon-day sun is the number one source of our Vitamin D. But in the dead of winter it’s too cold to go outside, the sun is too low in the sky, and inversions block out the sun’s rays. Why does Vitamin D matter, and how do we get some during the winter season?

Why do we need Vitamin D?
It really does matter fi our bodies have inadequate levels of Vitamin D. Having sufficient levels has been shown to help prevent a long list of health issues: osteoporosis, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, strokes, high blood pressure and diabetes. It may also slow the aging process!

How do we get it in winter?
Unless you live in sunny Gold Coast, the only way to get sufficient Vitamin D in winter is through storing it up from the summer or taking it through our diets and supplements. Unfortunately, there aren’t many Vitamin D food sources out there, as our bodies were designed to get the Vitamin D we need from the sun.

So what can we do?
Good food sources of Vitamin D include fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel), mushrooms, eggs and Vitamin D fortified foods such as milk (cow, soy, almost, coconut). As Vitamin D can be stored, just 2.5 servings of salmon each week would get us all the Vitamin D we need.

What if you don’t like fish?
Instead of eating fish, you could drink 3 cups of Vitamin D fortified milk each day. If that is too much to drink, the easier and more convenient option is to try consuming emu oil or emu oil capsules daily. Emu Oil is rich in omega fatty acids with an impressive amount of fat soluble Vitamin D, Vitamin E, natural antioxidants and vitamin K2. Filled with nutrients and healthy fats, it is regenerative in nature and possesses anti-inflammatory properties.
